Custom Strategy

Build your own miner from Shadow and OG Sniper pieces: risk mix, tile selection, sizing, timing, and optional gates. Type 2 mode 10.

What it does

Custom Strategy is the DIY picker. You assemble behaviour from the same building blocks as Shadow and OG Sniper: how many solo/split tiles, how tiles are chosen, how SOL is sized, when to fire, and optional skip gates.

In plain english

Start from a Shadow-shaped default (highest SOL + occupancy match + late), then swap pieces until it matches how you want to mine.

Settings

Round budget

Maximum SOL this miner spends in a round (clamped to your on-chain balance).

Risk mix

Solo tile count (0–10) and split tile count (0–15). Default is 10 / 15 (all tiles in each pool).

Tile selection

Sizing

When to fire

Always (early path) or Late (end-of-round window). Equal size is Always only. The late threshold is fixed by the product — you choose the bucket, not a slot number.

Optional gates

Starting recommendation

If you are new, run Shadow or OG Sniper first. Use Custom when you know which piece you want to change.

How to set up

  1. Connect your Solana wallet on the Mining page.
  2. Create a miner and choose Custom Strategy in the strategy picker. Configure risk mix, selection, sizing, timing, and any gates you want.
  3. Sign the transaction. This creates your miner accounts on-chain (Manager + Strategy Deployer + ORE Miner). Cost ≈ 0.005 SOL (account setup).
  4. Deposit SOL. Transfer SOL into your miner’s autodeploy balance. Minimum 0.03 SOL; 0.3 SOL or more gives runway for many rounds.
  5. Done. The crank runs this strategy each round. Activity shows deploys and skip reasons.

Activity (C) and Results (D) match what you see in the Mining Activity / Sessions panels. Thinking (B) illustrates what the crank evaluates that round — only EV Gate has a live Strategy Insight table in-app.

Skip variant (same config)

Under Highest SOL selection, a quiet late board yields an empty pick set — Custom sits out just like Shadow.
